We are proud to announce our partnership between Mr. Andrew Lewis (Sailor / Olympic Athlete representing Trinidad & Tobago in the Men’s Laser Class) and Tatil & Tatil Life for an initial period of 2 years.
An enthusiastic sailor who has been sailing since he was seven years old, has already been registered in the Olympic history books, as the first person from Trinidad and Tobago to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in the Men’s Laser class – Sailing. Andrew also became the first sailor in 48 years to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Olympic Games. He represented Trinidad and Tobago again at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – a courageous and inspiring return to competition following a life-threatening accident in December 2015.
Andrew is also passionate about “giving back” to Trinidad & Tobago and his work with young people includes sailing programmes across the country, as well as raising awareness about Dyslexia and Attention-Deficit-Disorder (ADD). He has established the “Andrew Lewis Sailing Foundation” which is aimed at creating opportunities for young and underprivileged people to develop their untapped potential and so much more.
The two-time Olympian has a busy schedule over the next few months; his first major event of 2019 is the Sailing World Cup Miami from the 29th Jan – 3rd Feb his second World cup would be in Palma de Mallorca from the 1st – 6th April. All while he is preparing to quality for his third Olympic games at the World Championships in Japan 3rd – 9th July and he will end his season at the Pan American Games in Peru from the 3rd – 10th of August.
